Project Overview

The Game

Dropdown is a hyper-casual mobile tower defense game built in Unity. Players must prevent dots from reaching either the top of the screen or the center, depending on the selected game mode.

Early Results

The initial prototype was enjoyable and showed promise — players engaged well with the core mechanics and the minimalist design kept the focus on gameplay.

Why It’s Shelved

As players progressed to higher levels where game speed increased, a critical usability issue emerged. Players began unintentionally activating the return-to-home gesture on their mobile devices when swiping up during faster gameplay. Until a solution is found to prevent this gesture conflict, the project has been temporarily shelved.
